FAQs
WHERE WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?
I offer Telehealth sessions to residents of California and Utah.
It is possible to have an in-person session in California (San Francisco) only.

HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?
Counseling is provided on a fee-for-service basis. Payments are possible via cash, credit card, HSA card, Paypal, Venmo, or a third-party.
-
Initial intake appointments (50 minutes) are $170.
-
Subsequent sessions (45-50 minutes) are $150.

CAN I USE MY HEALTH INSURANCE TO PAY?
Yes. I am an in-network provider for the following insurance companies:
Aetna | BlueCross | Cigna | EMI | SelectHealth | U of U | UMR | United

HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST WITH INSURANCE?
That depends on whether or not you have met your deductible, and what mental services that your insurance provider offers. Also - if I am paneled under your insurance (see providers I work with above).
-
If you have met your deductible, there will be a co-pay.
-
If you have not met your deductible then the cost for each session will be approximately $100 per session and $120 for your first intake session.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE INSURANCE, BUT CANNOT AFFORD THE FULL COST?
I offer a sliding scale for those who are in need and cannot afford services. I carry a certain amount of sliding scale clients and when there are openings on the list, I can offer a lower cost.
HOW DO I FIND OUT IF MY HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN HAS MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS OR COVERAGE, AND IF THEY WILL COVER ME TO BE TREATED BY YOU?
Simply call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card and speak with a customer service representative to determine the following:
-
If you have mental health benefits as a part of your health insurance plan.
-
If you do have coverage, have you met your deductible and if not how much is it?
-
Ask about copay when your deductible is met or when you meet it.
